Every engine
tells you what's
wrong.
Most people just don't speak the language yet.
A garage where two-stroke carburetors get rebuilt by hand and mower decks get straightened on the same anvil your grandfather would recognize. Learn what your engine is telling you — then let us fix it.

"I know what's wrong before you finish describing the sound."
What your engine
is actually saying.
Plain-language breakdowns of the most common symptoms we see walk through the door every week.
Sound familiar? We can tell you exactly what's wrong before you spend a dollar.
Describe Your Problem
Nine times in ten, this is a carburetor float stuck open or a fouled spark plug. The engine has compression — it's not getting fuel or spark to the cylinder. We check the plug first (30 seconds), then pull the carb.
Briggs & Stratton 675 Series, Tecumseh TVS90 — most common offenders. Float valves gum up from ethanol blend fuel sitting over winter. A carb rebuild is 45 minutes of bench time.
Three kinds of people
walk through that door.
We know who you are before you describe the engine. Here's what we do for each of you.

"The mower that won't start on the first warm Saturday."
You've got a Briggs & Stratton 675EX that started fine last October. You drained the fuel like you were supposed to. It still won't turn over. You have a yard to mow and a weekend slipping away.
We diagnose same-day. Most homeowner mowers are back within 48 hours. You drop it off, go home, we call you when it's done.

"A downed backpack blower costs you $400 a day."
You run three crews. When a Stihl BR 600 or an Echo PB-770 dies mid-route, that truck stops earning. You need it back fast, not in a week.
We keep commercial accounts at the front of the queue. Same-day turnaround on most handheld equipment. We stock common Stihl and Echo parts.

"A vintage Tecumseh HM100 that deserves to run again."
You found a 1974 Wheel Horse with a Tecumseh HM100 at an estate sale. The carb is a mystery. The points ignition is unfamiliar territory. You want it running, not replaced.
We love these. Period-correct repairs, original parts sourced where possible, and a tech who will actually talk through the history with you.
